Aarti, the daughter of a multi-millionaire, Seth Ghanshyamdas, is a widow, who lives with her two children Bobby and Kavita at her father's house. Seth Ghanshyamdas who owns a lot of property and wealth always keeps indifferent health and is worried as to what will happen and her children if anything goes wrong with him. Hiralal who is a very close friend of the family and who has an eye on Sethji's wealth, manipulates and succeeds in killing him and declare Sethji's death caused due to heart attack.

Aarti is left alone burdened with the responsibility of her children, her father's business and the properties, to which she is the sole heir, with nobody to lend her a shoulder, except her childhood friend Nandini who is a model.

Hiralal now moved ahead, plans with his nephew Sanjay Verma that if he manages to win over Aarti's heart and marry her, they can become rich overnight. This starts the love-game to trap poor innocent Aarti. Nandini who is already deeply in love with Sanjay, plays game to Sanjay's plan and together with Hiralal manages to convince Aarti, who falls prey to their evil designs. Aarti marries Sanjay little knowing what the nature holds of her.

On the day of their honeymoon a terrible incident takes place. Sanjay throws Aarti into the crocodile lake and her cries for help are unheeded by Sanjay and Nandini and gradually she vanishes into the lake where the water turns turbulent with her blood. Aarti is declared 'dead' by Sanjay an Nandini since they could not trace the body.

The children become alone-they cannot believe that their dear mother is no more and they wait for her to return. But as the saying goes, "Man proposes and God disposes," Arti is miraculously saved by an old man who treats her crocodiles wounds in the jungle.

In the meantime, Sanjay approaches Aarti's lawyer to claim her property since he is her lawful husband, but is taken aback when the lawyer informs him, that, if the body of the dead person is not found, the person cannot be declared dead in the Court of Law; and, that he will have to wait for seven years to put up his claims. Sanjay, Nandini and Hiralal are now trapped in this uncertain situation.

There Aarti has fully recovered but, an ugly scar has disfigured her face. She vows before the old 'Baba' that she would revenge Sanjay, who thought that all women are weak and that men can play with a woman's feelings whenever he wants. She decides to prove to the world that women are not weak as men considered them to be. She vows to kill Sanjay at the very spot where he had tried to eliminate her.

Aarti fulfills her vow and kills Sanjay in the same crocodile lake. How she does this see "KHOON BHARI MAANG".
